that...stuff....was...

AAAAAAAWWWWWESOME!!

I can now see why people don't like going to the dentist. the drill is LOUD, there's lots of jolting and pressure, it smells of burning enamel, etc. But that blessed N2O made it all seem more like an interactive movie that i was watching, and occasionally participating in than real life. loved it!

i didn't actually laugh much, but i did think that the things coming out of my mouth were VERY funny. I guess that's really no different from every day life for me.
I kept saying everything that i was thinking. I guess that's no different from every day life, either. I guess the difference was that i didn't care if anybody else thought i was funny or stupid or tactless or clueless. i was in a very happy place :)

Laughing gas has moved up high on my list--right under epidurals--of things i'm really, really, really grateful i don't have to live without.

What i want to know is how many of you moms out there that just love natural child birth also just love natural dentistry? Sarah? Meredith?

i'm kidding, that's just the nitrous oxide talking...

Too funny Emily! I've never had N20, but I here it's great. I am, however, already looking forward to my epidural:)

Keep this girl away from the wrong side of town. It's not oregano in those little baggies.

Hilarious, Emily! I will have to say that despite my love of natural everything; I am NOT (repeat NOT in any way, means, fashion of the imagination) fond of natural dentistry! I've only had the laughing gas 1 or 2 times, but it sure beats what I went through as a kid without it!

Mike said the only enjoyable part of dental school was when they had to practice giving the laughing gas on eachother. I'm secretly hoping he'll bring some home!

Haha! You crack me up. I thought you would like it. I loved it when I got my wisdom teeth out. (Duston hates the stuff - I don't get it) And of course, I can't live without an epidural. Good thing we haven't tried cocaine!

very funny, emily! unfortunately, i HAVE tried a little "natural" dentistry, but not on purpose. i was getting a root canal and they thought they had me all numbed up with the novocaine, but they didn't (unbeknownst to me) and started drilling and let me just tell you, the pain was MUCH MUCH WORSE than natural childbirth but once i screamed and almost fell out of my chair, he stopped the drilling, so it just didn't last as long as the childbirth thing. if i had to endure THAT kind of pain for the duration of labor/childbirth, there is NO WAY i would do it!
